Hello there, I’m Jenna! Thank you for stopping by and taking some time to read about me, my life and my passion for photography. I am a Wedding, Lifestyle and Fashion Photographer who dabbles in a handful of other creative arts. I was born in Houston, Texas and made the great leap to move out West a couple of years ago! I began this photography business adventure roughly 7 years ago. For the first couple of years I worked primarily with creative portraits and fashion and decided to jump into the wedding industry 5 years ago. At this point in time I have photographed over 75 weddings and elopements!
Before I began photographing weddings I worked for a wedding catering company which is where I actually found a love for these events. I adored being around and helping couples, their friends and their families on the happiest day of their life but I wanted to do more! That’s when the light bulb went off.
Truthfully I strayed away from this industry in the beginning because I never wanted to be producing “cheesy” wedding portraits. It took a couple of years before I realized I could use the same creativity I did in the fashion and portrait world in weddings! This is where I believe I stand out in a very saturated industry. I take a photojournalistic and editorial approach at all of my events, providing my clients with real candid moments, emotions and unique, timeless portraits.
I consider myself a very mellow person both on and off the job. I take pride in being able to remain calm in the most stressful of situations and know the best thing I can do in those circumstances is communicate and get creative!
Outside of work I enjoy traveling, camping, rock climbing, hiking, painting, shooting film photography, playing the piano, dancing, thrift shopping, swimming, writing, watching old classic films, reading, trying to befriend all animals, and researching random subjects usually pertaining to outer space (I owe this to being raised in Space City Houston with a grandfather who worked at Nasa.) Yes, I am absolutely a quirky person.
I am also in love with the ocean, the desert, odd roadside attractions, rock-n-roll, mid century architecture and of course my two dogs and the love of my life, Taylor. I am not yet married but have been lucky enough to have known and loved Taylor for almost 20 years. We met in elementary school and have been inseparable from the time we were 8 years old. He is absolutely the reason that I fell in love with love itself.
If I have left you questioning anything about myself or my business please feel free to reach out and I will be happy to fill in the blanks!
Thank you for being interested enough to make it through my rambling. Hope to meet you soon!
